are available for any amount you wish.
There is
a $10 minimum order fee. We offer free shipping on orders totaling
$300.00 or more, up to 10% of your order total. For example
if you spend $300.00, you would be given a shipping allowance
on your order of $30.00. For the majority of our customers,
the shipping credit of 10% of their order is enough to give
them free shipping for their entire order. But if a customer
places an order with a good amount of heavy items like grains,
beans, and seeds, there is chance that the 10% shipping credit
would not be enough to cover all their shipping costs. The moment
you place the first item in your shopping cart, you are asked
for your zip code, so shipping costs start to be calculated
from that moment on so you can monitor this as you place your
order. So let's say for example you are just about to complete
an order for $300.00 containing many heavy items, with shipping
costs shown at $60.00. This means that you would get a $30.00
shipping credit but would still have to pay $30.00 yourself
in shipping costs.
Please
note that free shipping after spending $300.00 only applies
to food products and the cookware within the Japanese
Cookware and Kitchenware Section, and does not apply
to any other cookware we offer like pressure cookers, grain
mills, blenders, books, or Japanese Lunch Jars.
All orders
are shipped via UPS. Please note that UPS can not ship to PO
Boxes.
UPS
Address Corrections: Any extra charges by UPS due to
insufficient or incorrect delivery information will be charged
to your credit card upon receipt. (i.e.. no suite number, wrong
zip code, recipient has moved to a new address). Please check
your printed invoice and email or call us with any changes.
Once we ship (Usually by the next business day) we can not make
changes. The UPS address correction charge for ground service
is $5.00. The correction charge for next day, 2nd day or 3 day
select is $10.00.

We also sell
cookware related items that are not carried by The Natural Import
Company, these items will be shipped seperately if ordered along

makes it impossible for anyone to intercept your credit card information.
It is more secure than giving your credit card information over
the telephone.

the Netscape "Security Key" at the bottom of your screen on our
credit card information collection page. When it is solid or locked,
this tells you that your credit card information is being encrypted
for security.
Damage
Claims: Please
report to us immediately any problems concerning your order so that we can
file a damage claim with UPS.
Returns
& Credits:
Please make requests for returns of merchandise for any reason other
than those listed above within 14 days of receiving product. Returned
items must be in their original cartons, and must be in sellable
condition. Please obtain prior approval before returning any merchandise.
Our customers assume responsibility for freight costs on returns
of non-defective merchandise.
Price
Fluctuations: Many of our items are imported. Thus as the dollar
fluctuates versus the yen and other foreign currencies, we must
reserve the right to change prices without notice. These price changes,
either up or down, will be minor.
Organic Certification:
All certified organically grown and processed foods are certified
by either (QAI) Quality Assurance International, ECOCERT, Stellar
Certification Services, and OICA (Organic Crop Improvement Association).
Certification papers may be obtained from us upon request.
"Yuuki"
is a Japanese term that refers to 'Nature Farming." Many of
our family producers are too small to afford the substantial cost
of official organic certification. Many traditional yuuki farmers
are carrying on a centuries old tradition of land stewardship and
sustainable agriculture. Their standards tend to be even higher
than most organic farmers.

Typographical Errors
Though we make every effort to have as accurate as possible, all product and pricing information, in the event that a product is shown on our web site with either an incorrect price, or product information due to typographical errors and a customer then purchases it, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel these orders.
All Prices Subject to Change
Please note that all prices on the web site are subject to change due to a high percentage of what we sell being imported products. When foreign currencies like the Yen and Dollar rise, we unfortunately are forced to raise our prices. There may be instances where a product's price is now higher, but it is yet to be reflected on the web site, and a customer has placed order based on the old price. In these cases the customer will be notified and they will have the option of accepting the order at the new price, or having it canceled.
Out of Date Product Pages
We have been in business for many years and there are times that a customer may run across an old product page via an internet search engine not connected to our current web site, showing a currently selling product for less than it is shown in our current and active web site. If an order is made from such a page, the customer will be given the choice of paying the current and correct price for the item, or having their order canceled.
